If you’re looking for a gym in Rockledge or Viera, you’ve probably noticed that there aren’t a ton of options compared to bigger cities. I was born and raised in Rockledge, but have lived in Tampa and Orlando for a few years at various points in my life, so I've seen what kind of gyms some bigger Florida cities have to offer.

That being said, there are still great options for different fitness needs, whether you’re looking for affordability, variety, or a more personal training experience. Instead of relying on paid ranking systems like Yelp or Yellow Pages, this list is based on a local professional’s firsthand perspective of what each gym truly offers.

Here’s a look at the top fitness centers in Rockledge and Viera, broken down by best value, hidden gem, most versatile, and best personal training.

For those who want an affordable, no-frills gym, Planet Fitness Rockledge is the best bang for your buck. With memberships starting at $10/month, you’ll get access to basic strength and cardio equipment, plus the option for a Black Card membership ($24.99/month) that includes guest privileges, tanning, and massage chairs. Planet Fitness isn't extravagant, but it gets the job done well for one of the lowest price points you'll find around.

Pros:

  • Extremely affordable compared to other gyms in the area

  • 24/5 access, making it convenient for any schedule

  • Black Card members can use hydromassage, tanning, and travel perks

  • Heavy emphasis on machines, ideal for beginners

  • Clean and well-lit, with plenty of high-end cardio and strength equipment

Cons:

  • No squat racks or heavy free weights (dumbbells max out at 75 lbs)

  • Can get crowded during peak hours

  • Not ideal for serious lifters or athletes

If you prefer a less crowded, more personal gym experience, Building Bodies Rockledge is a hidden gem. My personal favorite, this locally owned gym has a tight-knit community feel and offers a solid selection of free weights, machines, and functional training space without the overwhelming crowds of larger gyms. This gym has served myself and many others in the community for years, and while it's not the fanciest or biggest, it holds a special place in the community and in my heart.

Pros:

  • Great community atmosphere with friendly members and fantastic management

  • Never too crowded, even during peak hours

  • Has free weights, functional training areas, and machines

  • More of a hometown feel than big-box gyms

Cons:

  • Smaller space and less equipment than larger commercial gyms (obviously)

  • No fancy, high-end amenities like some big chain gyms

Most Versatile – EoS Fitness (Coming Soon!)

📍 Location: 7201 Shoppes Dr, Melbourne, FL (Just south of Viera, off Wickham Rd)

While it’s technically not in Viera, EoS Fitness is set to open soon just off Wickham Road, and it looks like it will be the most versatile gym in the area. When I lived in Tampa I visited the EoS Tampa: Ehrlich Rd location and was throughly impressed by how much equipment they had and how nice it all was. The fact that the Wickham Rd location will be brand new, and need to compete with the Crunch Fitness just across the street, leads me to believe it will be just as nice, if not better, than an other gym around.

Known for having a little bit of everything, EoS gyms typically feature:

  • Full free weight and machine areas

  • Cardio equipment

  • Group fitness classes (HIIT, cycling, yoga, Zumba, etc.)

  • Recovery options like saunas, hot tubs, cryotherapy, and hydromassage

  • Basketball courts & turf training zones

This will likely be the best gym for people who want it all—from powerlifting to casual workouts to classes and recovery. Once it opens, there won't be another gym quite like it in this area.

Pros:

  • Huge variety of workout equipment and classes

  • Likely to have high-end amenities (sauna, turf area, etc.)

  • Memberships as low as $9.99, offering highly competitive rates

  • All-inclusive membership is $29.99/month, which includes access to high-end recovery tools, kids club, and more

Cons:

  • Not open yet, planned to open Fall 2025

  • Likely to be busy, especially when it first opens

  • Almost all unique and high-end amenities are restricted to the highest cost membership

Best Personal Training – Control Results

📍 Location: 1705 Berglund Ln, Melbourne, FL (Southeast of Viera)

Empty gym with blue and silver exercise equipment, wooden and black ceilings, and bright lights, creating a spacious, industrial feel.
Spacious, empty gym with black walls and ceiling, exercise equipment along the sides, blue storage bins, and white line patterns on the floor.

For those who want personalized, results-driven training, Control Results is the best option in the area. Unlike big-box gyms, this private personal training facility offers one-on-one and small group coaching tailored to your goals, whether that’s fat loss, muscle gain, strength, or injury prevention. They also recently began offering open gym memberships, which allow folks who aren't interested in personal or group training to take advatange of the selective environment and high-end equipment.

Pros:

  • Highly individualized training programs for each client

  • Certified, experienced coaches with a focus on results

  • Supportive, welcoming environment that’s intentionally not overcrowded

  • Nutritional guidance and progress tracking available

  • Recently began offering an open gym membership if you're unsure about personal training

Cons:

  • Higher price point compared to standard gym memberships

  • Requires commitment to structured training plans
